B I O G R A P H Y

Ramsay Wood was born in Texas, in 1943, into a diplomat's family and has lived in Vietnam, the Philippines, Scotland and France. He was a teenage apprentice in Saigon to the photographer Henri Huet. After leaving Harvard in 1964, he worked as a freelance photojournalist in Britain, East Africa, and Pakistan.

In 1971 he founded Frame Up Ltd, a wholesale picture-frame company which he ran from London with twenty cohorts until 1997. He was a founding member of the College of Storytellers in 1981, and chairman of the British charity Afghan Relief until 2002.

He lives in London where he works part-time helping dyslexic children learn keyboard skills.
